A Home Kitchen with a Big Dream

Flour Jar Manila didn't begin with a grand opening or a prime retail address. It started quietly in a home kitchen in Las Piñas in 2014 — just a passion for baking and an unwavering belief that handcrafted desserts could find a place in Metro Manila's growing cafe culture. Before there was a storefront, there were pastry deliveries to established cafes like Toby's Estate, which trusted Flour Jar's craft early on.

For several years, Flour Jar existed as a beloved behind-the-scenes supplier — providing premium cakes, cookies, and custard-filled doughnuts to partner cafes across the metro. The brand built its reputation not on advertising, but on flavour, consistency, and the simple truth that everything was made entirely from scratch using only the best and freshest quality ingredients.

In February 2018, Flour Jar opened its own doors at Unit C, Pilar Development Corporation, Rose Avenue in Pilar Village, Las Piñas. The physical space reflected everything the brand had always stood for: warm, welcoming, and deliberately beautiful — a boho-minimalist café with interiors inspired by the gentle café culture of Bali and Singapore, complete with pink neon lights and just enough seats for twenty or so guests at a time.

A Decade of Dough and Devotion

2014

The Supplier is Born

Flour Jar begins as a home-based pastry supplier in Las Piñas, crafting cakes, cookies, and desserts for Metro Manila cafes. Toby's Estate is among the first partner cafes to carry their pastries.

2018

First Standalone Café Opens

Flour Jar opens its doors at Unit C, Pilar Development Corporation, Rose Avenue, Pilar Village, Las Piñas — a cosy boho-minimalist space with interiors inspired by Bali and Singapore, seating around twenty guests.

2019–2020

Instagram & Community Love

Flour Jar catches the attention of food bloggers and the Instagram community, celebrated for its crave-worthy custard doughnuts, Instagram-ready interiors, and exceptional customer service. Reviews describe it as a hole-in-the-wall café you'd return to every week.

2021–2022

Expanding the SM Southmall Branch

Flour Jar opens a second location inside SM Southmall on Alabang-Zapote Road — making their freshly baked goods accessible daily during mall hours and reaching an even wider community of sweet-toothed Southies.

2024

Ten Years of Baking

Flour Jar celebrates a decade as a dessert supplier and neighbourhood bakery. With 20,000+ Instagram followers, a Google rating of 4.6, and a loyal community across Las Piñas, the brand continues to grow — adding new items like pistachio tiramisu, scoop cakes, and weekly fresh croissant drops.
